FTC 4 month Financial Controller / Head of Finance Grafton Banks Finance is looking for a hands-on Financial Controller/ Head of Finance/ Finance Director to join an established local business (SME) in Brighton and boasting a fun, sociable and relaxed culture. Acting as Head of Finance this role requires an enthusiastic individual to take temporary responsibility for leading a small team producing the month end reporting, year-end accounts, payroll and utilising time driven activity based costing. The role reports to the CEO and has the potential to lead to a permanent Financial Controller or Finance Director position. Some of the key responsibilities include: Lead and deliver on year-end accounts, annual budgets, quarterly budgets, and forecasting Manage payroll (outsourced), set KPIs, ensure tax and VAT compliance Oversee income recognition, manage accrued and deferred income, utilisation reporting, profit management, and pensions management Manage monthly cash flow, major expenditures, supplier management, and income tracking The successful candidate must be: Available to start Immediately (w/c 17th February) Qualified Accountant with 3+ years post qualified experience Experience working in SME environment Must be very hands-on – happy in the detail of producing monthly management accounts, payroll review, and understand operational finance.
