Security Architect

Senior Security ArchitectLocation: Remote within the UK Salary: up to £120,000 (depending on experience) + bonusWe are seeking an experienced Senior Security Architect to lead the secure design and delivery of complex, large-scale systems across diverse sectors, including government, healthcare, and financial services.This role combines deep technical expertise with consulting capability, requiring someone who can engage confidently with senior stakeholders, shape secure solutions, and guide teams in embedding best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.Key RequirementsProven application architecture experience, designing secure, scalable solutions.Demonstrable consulting experience, with the ability to influence and advise stakeholders at all levels.Expertise in secure cloud service design and architecture, aligned to industry standards and best practices.Strong ability to identify and mitigate security risks in existing and new systems.Knowledge of key security standards and regulations (e.g. NCSC, ISO, SoC, NIST, PCI, GDPR).Background in software development and/or infrastructure architecture.Hands-on experience testing the security of software and infrastructure.Knowledge of network security, web application security (e.g. OWASP), and cryptographic controls.Leadership experience, including mentoring, coaching, and managing technical teams.Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Desirable ExperienceIdentity management and authentication/authorisation products and patterns.End-to-end security involvement (governance, risk, compliance, operational security, supply chain, user management).Penetration testing qualifications (e.g. OSCP, CREST, TIGER, or equivalent).Active knowledge sharing, internally or externally.If you are a proven security leader with strong architecture and consulting experience, apply today.
