We are The Hire Place UK, part of the Places for People Group; we are looking for a Cabin Maintenance Operative (Handyperson/Multi Skilled Operative) to provide a high quality and efficient maintenance service, preparing site cabins for hire, maintenance, and repairs on hiring sites in Merstham, Surrey., We are a busy and expanding tool, construction equipment and site accommodation hire company looking for a versatile Multi Skilled Operative/Handy Person, to join our cabin maintenance team, based in our hire depot in Merstham.
On site work , and occasionally working away for short periods are also a part of this role.
More about your role.
You will carrying out maintenance and repairs to handy individual site cabins and/or customers sites or premises. You’ll undertake pre-delivery and off-hire inspections on repairs and organise work schedules. You will do this within agreed time frames ensuring that all the above are carried out within Health & Safety guidelines and the Group’s Health & Safety Policy.
Your core activities will include:

Painting & decorating

Installation of fixtures and fittings

Cleaning and renovating
-
Flat roof repairs (basic preparation of metal and applying seals and coatings).

General fixing and repairs as appropriate

Collection of materials and equipment as required from suppliers.
Additional duties subject to skill and ability may include:

Testing and Inspection of the above

A full drivers licence is essential. You will also be expected for work away from home at times.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.30pm, Saturdays occasional – overtime paid.
