WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

At Relm Insurance Ltd, our Mission is “To contribute to the building of the future by creating solutions for complex risks in innovative markets. ” In our pursuit to lead the market in these emerging areas of innovation, we’re seeking a dynamic and curious individual for the role of Research Analyst. This is an important role in assisting Relm to redefine the insurance landscape by researching and reporting on contemporary trends.

In addition to professional insurance experience, this role will require an aptitude for creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and a willingness to approach product innovation and emerging risk research initiatives with a solution-oriented mindset.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  1. Conduct in-depth research on emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes that could impact the insurance landscape. Use insights to inform product development and underwriting decisions.
  2. Conduct market analysis and competitor assessments to identify gaps and opportunities in the insurance landscape to inform product development and underwriting strategies.
  3. Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights.
  4. Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Communicate directly and proactively with clients to understand their emerging sectors and innovative technologies.
  6. Contribute to the development of groundbreaking insurance products that address complex and emerging risks.
  7. Liaise and collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as Marketing, Underwriting, Claims, and Technology (among others) to research and report on these complex risks.
  8. Support team members to establish and maintain their position as subject matter experts on insuring emerging technologies.
  9. Drive the creation of, and provide technical input to, white papers, blogs, and other thought leadership initiatives.
  10. Collaborate with various internal departments on strategic initiatives for the business which may not be owned by Product Innovation & Emerging Risk but require support.
  11. Engage with, and contribute to, business-wide KPIs, including but not limited to: GWP targets, CSR requirements, and CPD requirements.

WHAT YOU NEED

  1. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience, either in insurance or an insurance-adjacent field.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a discipline that required original research skills.
  3. Professional Insurance qualifications (e.g., ACII, CPCU) are highly desirable.
  4. Understanding of the technology sector, particularly in areas like Web3, AI, and alternative therapeutics.
  5. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to problem solve.
  6. A passion for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  9. Effective project management skills, with the ability to work across functions to meet deadlines and deliverables.
  10. Effective communication and presentation abilities, with a knack for conveying complex ideas in a clear and persuasive manner.
  11. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  12. Advanced skills across all Microsoft Office applications (familiarity with Mac OS is a plus).
  13. Ability to work outside of core hours and travel overseas, as required.
