Corporate Finance Director – West Midlands – Competitive + Bonus
My client is a Corporate Finance Advisory firm situated in the Midlands that covers all aspects of advisory, including strategic, buy-side, sell-side, and debt & equity raising. They work with a range of clients, including Private Equity, Corporates, and owner-managed businesses across a wide range of sectors.
What does the Corporate Finance Director role look like?
As a director, you will be the main point of contact for clients, from initial meeting, pitching, diligence, negotiation through to closing the transaction. Directors are expected to lead transactions and advise on more complex deals, fee discussions, and negotiations. You will be a strong project manager and will take the reins when it comes to planning, execution, deal management, and progression. Internally, you will be the \”go-to\” person alongside the partners. You will support the growing team, through mentoring, allocation of work, developing skills, and ensuring best practice (from junior staff through to directors and partners) along with involvement in recruitment.
The successful Corporate Finance Director will have the following skills, qualifications and experience:
- The successful candidate will be keen to develop their deal pipeline and have ambitions to grow and become a partner in the future, or alternatively be happy focusing on delivery and team development and support.
- Ideally qualified ACA, ACCA, or CFA.
- Experience in Corporate Finance, Mergers, and Acquisitions, or in-house M&A as a lead advisor.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ensure best practice at all times.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, and keen to work with like-minded SMEs.
