Are you an experienced Senior Storage Engineer?
Do you have strong Open Systems Storage experience (VMware, Windows, Rhel etc)?
This is initially a 6 month contract, daily rate is up to £440 (Inside IR35). You can be based anywhere in the UK as this is a remote contract; however, you need to be open to an occasional visit to Glasgow.
Please only apply for this role if you have the ‘right to work’ in the UK with no Visa restrictions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Daily infrastructure checks and responding accordingly.
- Storage provisioning and allocation.
- Backup and restore tasks.
- A sound understanding of the principles of resilience and operability in an enterprise storage environment.
- Great experience of planning, preparing and delivering objectives.
- A desire and aptitude to continually grow your own knowledge and skills, and help others do the same.
- A broad understanding of surrounding IT infrastructure: hardware, networking, data.
- An aptitude to quickly assimilate and understand complexity under pressure to diagnose and remediate technical issues.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.
Advantageous to have:
- A good working knowledge of the operation of Core Banking platforms.
- Recent experience of wider infrastructure (e.g., servers, networking).
