Head of Financial Outsourcing
Equifind is supporting a leading UK-based audit and accountancy firm in the appointment of a new Head of Financial Outsourcing to be based in their London office (Liverpool Street).
As Head of Business Services, you will manage a dedicated team responsible for supporting some of the UK’s most exciting fund managers (incl. private equity investors, hedge funds, renewable energy developers) and other leading businesses. You’ll be responsible for leading a team of 10-15 business services and outsourcing specialists.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial services, strong team management skills, and a deep understanding of FCA regulatory data as the firm continues to grow and support its portfolio of high-profile clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of business services and outsourcing specialists, ensuring strong performance, collaboration, and professional development. Provide coaching, mentorship, and guidance to foster a high-performing team culture.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring the delivery of high standards of service. Oversee the seamless execution of services for private equity investors, hedge funds, renewable energy developers, and other clients within the financial services sector.
- Serve as the FCA subject matter expert, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and advising on best practices for data management, reporting, and governance.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve business services operations, streamline processes, and deliver enhanced value to clients. Work closely with senior leadership to align services with business objectives and increase operational efficiency.
- Oversee the financial and operational performance of the business services team, ensuring proper budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls for both internal and client-related activities.
- Stay up to date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and market trends to drive continuous improvement and maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/CA/ACCA or similar)
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role

- Proven experience in team management, with a minimum of 10 team members
- Ability to work closely with founders and executive teams, providing strategic financial insights
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
