A UK start-up division of a global conglomerate is looking for an ACCA/CIMA part-qualified Assistant Accountant to join them in a new position. Reporting to the Divisional CFO and working in the Central London offices 5 days per week, the Assistant Accountant will undertake a diverse role which includes:
- Budgeting and variance reporting to management
- VAT and Corporate Tax Returns Preparation
- Accounts Payables management
- Liaising with auditors for quarterly and yearly statutory audits
- Overseeing financial statements
- Assets management including purchase, sale, and asset register maintenance
- Payroll management including tax, national insurance, and pension management
- Company secretaries’ functions including timely company records update with Companies House records
This is a very interesting opportunity as you will be joining at the infancy of this division’s creation and be involved in different tasks and duties as the company becomes more established. This could lead to development opportunities for the right person.
This role would suit a “hands-on” ACCA/CIMA part-qualified Accountant with excellent management, financial, and transactional accounting knowledge, strong MS Excel skills, and a willingness to help in other areas of the division if needed. As mentioned above, this role would only suit those who can work in the Central London offices 5 days per week.
