Earthstream are proud to be recruiting a Hardware Design Engineer for a leading industrial automation solutions provider focusing on innovative projects across multiple industries.
Location: Telford
Salary: Up to £50,000 plus benefits
As a Hardware Design Engineer your remit will include:
- Electrical site surveys
- Calculations to support sizing and selection (Power, Short Circuit, Voltage Drop, Heat Dissipation, etc.)
- Equipment / component selection in line with client specification and internal preference
- Single line diagrams for power, control and networking / communications
- Control / Drive Panel general arrangements
- Electrical schematics and cable schedules
- Procurement of general components and materials
- Manufacturing handover, documentation and support
- As-built documentation from Testing and Commissioning
- Complying with all appropriate industry regulations, client specifications, and internal standards
- Meeting project milestones
- Contribution to the continuous improvement of the Hardware Design department
- Maintenance of the Technical Construction File
What you will bring to the company:
- Apprenticeship / Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics
- Minimum 18 months in a similar role
- Experience using EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical
- Good understanding of control system electrical design
