As an HR Advisor (maternity cover), you will provide HR support to the Managing Director and the International team. Reporting to the Managing Director of the international business with a dotted line to the EVP of Human Resources based in the US. This role involves working closely with HR Director (US-based), managers, and employees across the organisation to guide various HR queries and issues.
Responsibilities
Your role will involve handling a variety of HR-related tasks, including but not limited to:
- Main point of contact for any HR queries for UK employees.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HR system (Hibob).
- Operate payroll, benefits and pension processes.
- Support the recruitment process, including drafting job descriptions, screening applications, and conducting initial screening calls.
- Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Provide support on employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an HR advisory role, preferably within a fast-paced company.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems. Ability to learn new systems quickly, if applicable.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- CIPD qualified preferred, but not required.
Duration: 3 months / 2 days per week
