Are you an experienced M&E Engineer based in Newcastle upon Tyne? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Randstad C&P are looking for a Mobile M&E Engineer with a strong HVAC bias to join our clients\’ award-winning facilities management team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading FM provider, offering job security, career progression, and excellent benefits. As a Mobile M&E Engineer, you will be our client\’s first point of contact for both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across dedicated sites. The Package: Competitive salary between GBP35,000 – GBP40,000 per annum Permanent, full-time role 40 hours per week 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays Company van & fuel card Smartphone, tools, uniform, and PPE provided Generous company pension scheme Main Duties: Conduct routine inspections and functionality tests to ensure emergency lighting systems are operational and compliant with safety regulations. Address any faults identified during testing. Perform scheduled testing and servicing of fire alarm systems, ensuring all detectors, call points, and sounders function correctly. Record findings and arrange necessary repairs. Regularly check and replace faulty or expired lamps, ensuring adequate lighting levels throughout the facility. Carry out minor plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, unblocking drains, and maintaining sanitary systems. Conduct general building fabric maintenance, including repairs to doors, flooring, ceilings, and fixtures. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime. Conduct routine servicing of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, power distribution, and building automation controls. Qualifications & Experience: F-Gas qualification 18th Edition (Electrical Regulations) HVAC experience Full valid UK driver\’s licence Previous experience in an M&E Engineer or similar role IOSH Working Safely certification (Desirable) Plumbing experience (Desirable) Basic fabric maintenance skills (Desirable) 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification (Desirable) Interested?
