Job Description
I am excited to be supporting our long standing client, a prominent London university, in their search for a temporary Library Information Officer. This role will provide general library and operations support to the broader team.
The post is starting as soon as possible and running until early June in the first instance. They offer hybrid working, with 3 days on site in central London and the remainder remote.
In this role, you will:
- Order and receive items for stock, keeping accurate records and liaise with Accounts for prompt payment of invoices and resolving any issues
- Monitoring the library's Open Access mailbox for enquiries and research outputs notified for deposit to the institutional repository
- Organise, input into and monitor databases and records to ensure accurate recording
- To be considered for this role, you will need a vocational library qualification or equivalent experience, including experience of recording and maintaining electronic records of books and research publications. Good communication skills and sound working knowledge of standard IT packages is also essential.
