The predicted salary is between 54000 - 84000 £ per year.
The Project Director will provide strategic leadership and direction to the capital team, project managers, cost advisors and other professionals. To monitor and report on build progress, oversee finance and build quality. The Project Director will work closely with the Trust reconfiguration team and will be responsible for leading the project team to successful conclusion of the project by providing leadership, strategically managing risk, monitoring finances and ensuring that each phase of the project starts and ends on schedule. The post holder will provide and receive significant, highly complex, sensitive and often contentious technical, administrative, financial and specialist information on major and complex schemes involving communication with the project Senior Responsible Owner (SRO), Executive Directors, senior managers, professional consultants, legal agents, senior clinicians, operational staff, contractors and suppliers.
Critical skills in stakeholder management, thorough knowledge of the NHS and estates and facilities operational issues, oversight of capital project delivery, commercial awareness and programme and project management are required to be most successful in the role. The role will manage capital schemes from conception through to handover. The candidate should have proven experience in project management and good working knowledge of the key RIBA stages.
