The team acts for a diverse client base, including some of the UK’s largest estates, farmers, landowners, and educational institutions. The Oxford-based team operates as part of the firm’s broader Real Estate department and works closely with specialists in tax, trusts, agricultural litigation, planning, and environmental law. Headed by a nationally recognised expert ranked as a Leading Individual in Chambers & Partners (2024) and The Legal 500 (2024) , the team delivers top-tier legal advice and handles high-value, complex transactions.

About the Role
The successful candidates will work on a variety of agricultural and development matters, including:

  1. Sales and acquisitions of farmland, estates, and rural properties.
  2. Negotiating Promotion and Collaboration Agreements for large-scale developments.
  3. Advising on agricultural finance and refinancing transactions.
  4. Supporting clients with renewable energy schemes, diversification projects, and succession planning.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Delivering high-quality legal advice to rural clients on a range of property matters.
  2. Developing and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional client service.
  3. Managing financial performance, including accurate time recording and achieving targets.
