Join our clients Waste and Recycling Team as a Class 2 Refuse Driver! We are currently seeking experienced and reliable Class 2 Refuse Drivers to join our clients dedicated waste and recycling services team. If youβre safety-conscious, customer-focused, and ready to lead by example, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and take full responsibility for an allocated refuse/recycling vehicle.
- Perform daily vehicle checks and routine maintenance (oil, water) and ensure the vehicle is clean (using the wash bay).
- Transport goods, equipment, and personnel safely.
- Supervise the refuse crew and assist with loading and unloading as required.
- Operate in-vehicle technology, accurately recording non-collections and reasons.
- Collect waste and recyclables in line with route schedules and health & safety guidelines.
- Ensure completion and return of all required paperwork to the supervisor daily.
- Respond to unforeseen circumstances by adjusting routes as necessary.
- Ensure safe and respectful waste loading and interaction with the public.
- Collect assisted collections on designated days.
- Report accidents, near misses, and any vehicle or property damage promptly.
- Operate vehicle machinery safely and in accordance with regulations.
