Associate (1-3 PQE) – Funds – London
Taylor Root have partnered with an elite UK law firm who are looking to hire an experienced Funds Associate into their London office. This role would be suitable for an experienced Funds Associate who is between 1 – 3 PQE and UK qualified.

Our client, who credits their success to their transactional practice areas, is synonymous with large scale, high value transactions in London and globally. As such, they are considered to be one of London’s most reputable law firms with standout practice in corporate, finance, funds and litigation.
The Team
The firm’s Private Funds & Investments team will often outperform its competitors who are mostly US powerhouses. They advise private fund sponsors, investment management firms and investors across a broad range of matters. This includes credit funds, private equity funds, venture funds, secondaries funds, funds of funds, real estate funds, infrastructure funds, hedge funds and retail funds.
The Role
You will be covering the entire spectrum of private funds work, but would likely work closely with European funds and private credit which is an area of focus for the practice. This will include:
- Assisting with initial regulatory and tax structuring, as well as jurisdictional analysis.
- Drafting and negotiating fund documents, including limited partnership agreements, side letters, subscription agreements, and offering materials.
- Providing and coordinating international regulatory advice for private funds.
- Advising on incentive structures.
- Supporting sponsors with business and operational matters, including global structuring, regulatory compliance, incentive and remuneration arrangements, governance, and internal policies.
- Assisting other practice groups with private fund aspects of broader transactions, such as M&A and secondary transactions.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have between 1-3 PQE from a leading institutional private funds practice or in-house and a private capital manager. Experience across private equity, debt and venture capital, infra and real assets would be ideal.
