Integrity Education Solutions are supporting a unique and independent specialist education provider based in London, offering therapeutic education to children and young people with special educational needs and neurodiverse profiles. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly professional School Business Manager to join their specialist primary school in East London, providing exceptional education for neurodiverse pupils with additional needs. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for the smooth operational running of the school and the effective coordination of essential business services. As the School Business Manager, you will lead on facilities management, catering, and administration. As the key liaison between the school and centralised teams (finance, HR, referrals, and IT), you will ensure that all operational elements of the school meet statutory requirements, including ISS and Ofsted regulations. Reporting to the Headteacher and working closely with the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for managing a small team, including office staff, a facilities coordinator, a chef, and a kitchen assistant. The role is also pupil-facing and requires a high level of professionalism, adaptability, and a commitment to inclusive practice. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage all aspects of school business operations * Oversee premises, utilities, site security and compliance * Manage and develop administrative and catering functions * Coordinate financial procedures including budget monitoring and procurement * Maintain oversight of pupil and staff data using MIS systems * Contribute to whole-school development as a senior leader * Ensure effective communication between the school and external service teams Key Requirements: * Level 4, 5 or 6 Diploma in School Business Management (or equivalent experience) * Substantial experience in a school business or operations role * Proficient in finance and budgetary management, including procurement * Strong IT skills, including Excel and MIS platforms (Example – SIMS or Scholar Pack) * Proven leadership and team management experience across functions (HR, Finance, Facilities) * Experience or understanding of working with neurodiverse pupils, including those with Autism (ASC) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs * Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills * Resilient, solutions-focused, and committed to continuous improvement Benefits on offer: * Competitive salary and generous holiday entitlement * Opportunity to directly contribute to positive outcomes for children with complex needs * Structured CPD and progression routes, including formal qualifications (e.g. NPQs, therapeutic education certifications) * Comprehensive induction and ongoing staff wellbeing initiatives * Employee benefits including access to counselling, medical contributions, and a rewards platform Salary offered: £48,000 – £52,000 (Dependent on experience) This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in a values-driven school committed to inclusive, trauma-informed practice and high standards for all pupils.
