A Production Studio is developing a custom digital signage/kiosk product which requires expert CAD modelling skills.

  • Core CAD Experience
    • Proficient in Autodesk Fusion 360, with a strong focus on parametric modeling and assembly workflows.
    • Experience creating drawings and exploded views specifically tailored for manufacturing handoff (DFM).
    • Familiarity with revision control and file structuring in collaborative environments (e.g. Fusion 360 Teams, Git-like file tracking tools).
  • Electrical Component Integration
    • Experience modeling PC hardware (motherboard, GPU, PSU) and embedding them into enclosure designs.
    • Knowledge of integrating LED lighting systems, cable routing, and ventilation around heat-generating components.
    • Ability to factor in camera/sensor placement geometry and field-of-view requirements during layout design.
  • Mechanical & Structural Design
    • Hands-on design with casters, hinges, brackets, locking mechanisms, and tool-less access panels.
    • Designing for modularity and serviceability, especially in retail/event-use environments (rapid part swap-outs, internal access).
    • Understanding of tolerances and fastener choices for mixed material assemblies (e.g. aluminum frame + steel base).
  • Manufacturing Knowledge
    • Practical understanding of metal fabrication constraints:
    • Bend radii and K-factor in sheet metal
    • Hole clearances for countersinks/tapping
    • Minimum wall thickness and notch allowances
    • Familiar with CNC routing, laser cutting, extrusion profiles, and how to spec parts for those workflows.
    • Comfort interpreting supplier specs and converting them into STEP/DXF-compatible models for quoting or production.
  • Bonus Skills
    • Experience creating visual renders (KeyShot or Fusion-native) for client previews or marketing.
    • Awareness of thermal and airflow modeling basics, especially when high-performance GPUs/PCs are enclosed.
    • Prior work with retail, trade show, or kiosk hardware is highly desirable.
