Role Summary: Demonstrates full knowledge in assigned area and is an experienced sole contributor. Drive portfolio strategy management efforts in Capital Fixed Income Investors by contributing to portfolio implementation, strategy development, and contributing to process enhancements. Independently deliver investment strategies by constructing fixed-income portfolios utilizing strong market, sector, and technical skills. Tactically navigate guidelines and markets to best represent CFII convictions.

You will drive portfolio strategy management efforts by contributing to portfolio implementation, strategy development, and process enhancements.

You work with relevant mandate and fund portfolio managers to efficiently deliver fixed-income investment strategies to clients, overseeing the vehicles and their outcomes.

You provide top-down sector expertise for other portfolio strategists/investors.

You create models, theses, and insights to help shape top-down strategies.

You develop and evolve processes for delivering solutions to a wide range of clients.

You influence others by demonstrating strong investment ability and communicating effectively with colleagues.

You express perspectives on portfolio and sector risks.

You independently construct fixed-income portfolios utilizing strong market, sector, and technical skills.

You develop portfolios that represent the return and risk profile of related CFII strategies.

You ensure the timely and accurate execution of investment strategies across investment vehicles.

You represent the team by building partnerships, collaborating across business functions, and representing the team internally and externally; collaborating with various internal groups including investment support, quantitative teams, investment operations, and legal.

You tactically navigate investment guidelines and markets to best represent CFII convictions.

You navigate complex portfolio construction needs amidst volatile markets, material flows, and guideline impacts, focusing on overall portfolio optimization.

You exercise independent decision-making without clear direction from a reference strategy.

You will have an opportunity to develop and share market views.

You help evolve the future of the team’s capabilities to meet current and future needs.

Skills/Qualifications:

You have 5 to 10+ years of experience in the investment management industry, ideally in an investment strategist or portfolio construction role; experience working with fixed-income emerging markets investments is preferred.

You demonstrate in-depth knowledge of portfolio construction and buy-side fixed income portfolio management.

You demonstrate intellectual curiosity and analytical skills in areas of high complexity, ambiguity, and diversity.

You demonstrate the ability to collaborate and develop/maintain working relationships inside and outside the organization to enable effective completion of business objectives.

You demonstrate sound judgment in resolving complex issues in a practical manner.

You demonstrate effective and influential written and oral communication skills with a diverse group of associates and senior business leaders.
