Account Director – the role
The team is now on the hunt for an established Account Director who can help support the agency’s on-trade accounts within the drinks sector. Specific experience and interest in working on-trade accounts, within food and drink or FMCG sector is critical. The Account Director plays an integral role in the team by providing leadership across key accounts, inspiring the highest standards whilst strengthening the agency’s longer-term relationship with key stakeholders. In addition to adopting overall management of key accounts, the AD is responsible for the line management of other members of the client-facing team.
Account Director – key responsibilities

Cultivating & maintaining senior client relationships, providing day today consultancy
- Actively seek opportunities to unlock organic client growth

Develop proposals and deliver pitches for new briefs acting as a strong strategic lead

Challenging conventional thinking and traditional trade PR tactics to make sure that the team is coming up with pro-active ideas outside of the existing campaign
- Leading and driving strategy development, planning and budget setting processes and evaluation on all accounts

Owning and managing profitability and performance across designated accounts, in line with campaign KPIs and financial targets

Leading, motivating & developing team members – to motivate and inspire your team

Coaching and mentoring them to help them excel individually and as a team

Highly creative and comfortable developing campaigns and delivering measurable results
- Solid project management experience, demonstrating a track record of strategic-thinking, working in partnership with a number of clients and suppliers

Proven success working independently, multi-tasking, prioritising and meeting deadlines consistently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and remaining calm under pressure
- Ability to read a room and tailor your message and style for the audience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication/presentation skills
