Aspire People are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SENTA) for a full-time position in a primary school based in Leicester (LE3). This is a long‑term role offering a competitive daily rate of £90–105, depending on your experience and qualifications. You will play a key role in supporting children with a range of special educational needs, ensuring they have a positive and inclusive learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Assist in planning and delivering tailored learning activities to meet individual needs.
  • Support the emotional, social, and academic development of the children.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed.
  • Help create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all children can thrive.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working in a SEN or teaching assistant role in the UK.
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred).
  • A DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • A caring, patient, and proactive attitude with the ability to engage children.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
