We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for Part Time day shift Shunter Drivers to join our growing network within our clients Depots across the country. Shifts are available on a part time basis on Sundays each week and extra Class 1 shifts are available throughout the week on nights.

If you want to be part of a team that plays a vital part of the delivery process, then this is the role for you! Our client is responsible for the delivery of parcels to a nationwide network where you will be delivering to Hubs, Depots and Delivery Units liaising with colleagues here to ensure a smooth delivery.

A typical day in the life of a Shunter Driver will include efficient driving of the vehicle adhering to road safety standards and effectively completing paperwork. Support is always available as we know that things can arise daily when navigating British roads; the friendly transport team are always available to help you navigate through any issues.

Essential skills and requirements for a HGV Class 1 Driver:

  • Full UK Driving Licence with a HGV Class 1 (Cat C+E) entitlement.
  • An up-to-date Driver Qualification Card (CPC Card).
  • In date Digital Tachograph Card.
  • No more than 6 points on your Driving Licence.
  • At least 3 months experience as a Class 1 driver.
  • Communication with people across all levels is vital as you will be liaising with colleagues from all walks of life.
