Meraki Talent are currently working with a global Asset & Wealth Management firm based in London who are looking to hire a Trust Assistant Manager. The main purpose of job is to provide high quality trust administration services to clients of Rathbones encompassing executive functions of a Trustee and Estate administration internally and externally. Job Specification: To deal with all aspects of trust administration to include where appropriate all executive functions of a Trustee. Carry out technical reviews of cases allocated. To deal with all aspects of the administration of Estates to include the implementation of all executive functions of an Executor. To prepare and review trust and executorship accounts to ensure tax requirements of a Trustee and an Executor are compliant and fulfil all legal obligations of a Trustee and Executor. Provide day to day support to colleagues on issues arising on trust administration. Ensuring that all group Compliance and AML standards and policies are met. Provision of cover for colleagues during periods of absence as appropriate. Meeting attendance and minute taking Competencies: Working relationships – To actively build constructive relationships with other members of staff, (supervisor, manager, colleagues), providing support for other team members. Share and develop ideas, listen and consult with colleagues. To build and maintain a professional service to meet the needs of our clients and external contacts. Communication skills – To communicate, both verbally and through the written word, in an effective and positive manner, adopting a flexible and adaptable approach. High literacy skills. Analytical thinking – To be able to deal with data quickly and accurately and relate and compare data from difference sources. Recognise trends, identifying key issues and securing relevant information. Attention to detail and quality – To regularly check work, ensuring all details are correct in order to maintain a high level of accuracy and a low level of errors within agreed deadline. To be able to plan and manage time effectively, allocating realistic timescales in order to achieve and meet deadlines. Remain objective under pressure and continue to work productively and in a focussed way. Results driven – Work reliably to achieve goals and link day to day activities to business objectives. Always deliver on client expectations and be outcome and solution focussed. Additional requirements: Working towards STEP qualifications is desirable although full support for qualifications will be given and study materials /leave provided. Irrespective of qualifications achieved so far the successful candidate must commit to becoming fully STEP qualified. To be proactive in their own personal development through the adoption of a training & competence plan. To play a significant role in the achievement of the Trust team’s goals in terms of business growth & profitability targets. To understand of the professional and personal services offered to our clients. Develop and maintain an awareness of the organisational structure and goals. Demonstrate an understanding of the work of other departments in the organisation and how they inter-relate. To comply with the requirements of our regulators.
