Role OverviewPurpose of the Job To provide both a reactive and pro-active, multi-skilled maintenance service for all operational equipment and site facilities. To ensure all equipment is performing to the optimum levels. To ensure all equipment meets acceptable safety standards. Key Responsibilities of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician Ensuring all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) is completed safely, cost effectively, on time and to a satisfactory standard. Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager and being capable of acting as proxy if required. Providing a service that ensures all mechanical and electrical equipment is running to optimum performance levels and that all departmental Service Level Agreement’s and Key Performance Indicators are met. Reacting in a timely manner to maintenance requests. Following common processes and standards within the engineering department including Safety, Quality, Environment, and Security. Maximizing availability of all mechanical and electrical equipment through continuous improvement. About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team based in Royton, Oldham. As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician, you will be required to respond to breakdowns, carry out corrective tasks, and Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedules (PPM’s) in accordance with all company policies and procedures on a daily basis whilst reporting to the Engineering Manager. Proven knowledge/experience of PLCs including Siemens S5 and S7. Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines (60/40 split). Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability. Significant experience of AC and DC motors and drives. Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal) at all levels.
