Vehicle Mechanic

To undertake the repair and maintenance of ground support equipment (GSE) to the required standard. Adhere to corporate Health and Safety guidelines., * Repair and maintain GSE as requested.

• Carry out inspections, brake, and smoke tests.

• Diagnose faults and report findings to the Workshop Supervisor.

• Complete job cards accurately and timely.

• Ensure effective use of parts and tools.

• Report defective items promptly.

• Adhere to health and safety regulations.

• Min 5 years’ experience in vehicle mechanics

• Level 3 City and Guilds

• Experience in Auto Mechanics / HGV Mechanic / Plant Mechanics / Light Vehicle

• Hydraulics experience is desirable

• Welding and forklift experience is desirable

• Analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good communication skills

• Customer-oriented

• General health and safety knowledge, * City & Guilds Level 3 in motor mechanics

• Full UK Driving licence

• Forklift (desirable)

• Welding (desirable)

• Hydraulics/ pneumatics experience, * vehicle maintenance: 4 years (required)
