Job Description
Job Title: Demolition Supervisor\\nSalary: £16.00-£18.00 per hour (dependant on experience)\\nVan + fuel on the cards (would consider CIS but no van)\\nJob Types: Full-time, Permanent\\nSchedule: 8-hour shift\\nLocation: Oxford\\nOur client with a full order book and exciting projects ahead, are looking for qualified and experienced Demolition Supervisors, based in Southern England.\\nTheir clients' portfolio is very varied and ranges from NHS trusts, local government, Railway, MOD, schools, housing associations, construction & demolition contractors, and commercial businesses.\\nThis role will involve assisting with the logistics of varied projects, as well as the organisation and supervision other operatives who you will be expected to work alongside.\\nMain Duties & Responsibilities:\\nTo ensure the POW, Risk Assessment and COSHH Assessment provided by the Contract Manager reflects site conditions and activities.\\nTo carry out works as instructed.\\nTo understand building structures & construction techniques and safe demolition procedures.\\nTo understand asbestos surveys and communicate findings and limitations clearly to the site team.\\nTo motivate and manage a team, aiming to achieve programme.\\nTo plan ahead and ensure resources are available and fully utilised.\\nTo supervise subcontractors and ensure that they are complying with their own POW.\\nTo organise, supervise and work alongside operatives.\\nTo carry out ordering, purchasing and hiring of materials plant, services and equipment in accordance with company procedure, ensuring suitable and sufficient resources are available when required.\\nTo monitor progress on site to achieve the required programme, standards and customer requirements.\\nTo coordinate and communicate with the other divisions of the business to ensure the smooth running of all contracts.\\nTo advise contracts manager of onsite disputes, programme, or any other issues relating to the works on site.\\nTo log all plant and equipment used on site and check that the required inspection and testing has been carried out and recorded where necessary.\\nTo ensure that a competent person has carried out pre-use checks to confirm if the equipment is safe to use.\\nTo carry out and record daily & weekly inspections, including RPE inspections.\\nTo maintain a good standard of site records and documentation.\\nTo ensure that plant, tools, and equipment are looked after (de-contaminated if appropriate) and transported in accordance with the procedures prior to off hiring or placing back in stores.\\nTo assist in other areas of the business as and when required.\\nThe following skills and in date training are essential:\\nCCDO Gold card.\\nExperience of working on demolition sites.\\nAbility to undertake a physically demanding role.\\nGood communication and organisational skills with the ability to work in a methodical and calm manner.\\nExperience of looking after, organising, and operating plant/tools/equipment.\\nAbility to work to Health & Safety Policy and Procedures.\\nAccurate and pays attention to detail.\\nPresentable.\\nGood customer service skills.\\nProblem solving.\\nFull driving license.\\nThe following skills and in date training are desirable:\\nAsbestos Awareness or Non licensed removal training.\\nHalf mask Face Fits and Service Certificates\\nBenefits:\\nCompany events\\nCompany pension\\nFree flu jabs
