We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Event Manager to join our award winning hotel and commercial team. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for event planning and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

This is a varied role, looking after a wide range of events from private celebrations and weddings to corporate away days. You will be responsible for managing every aspect of the event from the initial enquiry through to welcoming guests and the post event follow-up.

This is a full-time, hotel-based position, requiring occasional weekend and evening work.

We have exciting plans in the next 12 – 18 months including a new restaurant and dedicated function space.

What the role involves:

· To be the primary point of contact for every event from the initial enquiry through to the day of the event.

· To log and update all enquiries, send tailored client proposals and issue event contracts.

· Create and distribute client function sheets and hold weekly event team meetings.

· Manage client site inspections and support the Head of Sales & Marketing with hosting showcase/PR events at the hotel.

· Create, plan and deliver ticketed events

· Liaise with all external suppliers to ensure seamless event delivery.

· Work closely with the Head of Sales & Marketing/ Revenue & Reservations Manager to review forecasts, identify new sales opportunities and strategies to achieve revenue targets.

· Responsible for issuing accurate client invoices and processing agency commissions.

· Enthusiastic, confident with a warm manner.

· Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and multi-task.

· A positive ‘can-do’ attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner.

· To have a passion for delivering amazing customer service, be enthusiastic, personable and enjoy working in a team environment.

· Strong IT skills – Including word, Microsoft Excel, PMS Systems (training will be provided)., * Event Management: 1 year (required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
