Responsibilities: – Provide support and assistance to individuals with various needs in a home care or assisted living setting – Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation – Administer medications according to prescribed instructions – Monitor and document changes in clients’ health or behavior – Implement behavior management strategies to promote a safe and supportive environment – Provide companionship and emotional support to clients – Assist with light housekeeping tasks and maintain a clean and organized living space – Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting if required – Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the best care for clients Requirements: – Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in senior care or dementia care – Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies – First aid certification is required – Ability to administer medications accurately
and safely – Strong communication skills, both verbal and written – Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals with diverse needs – Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting if necessary Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
