I am working with an established accountancy firm who is continuing to grow. The firm has a great reputation for being a friendly and supportive place to work who provide staff with challenging and varied roles. You will be working with a friendly growing team, working directly with the directors, managing your own portfolio of clients.

This will be a well-rounded role, providing the chance to get involved in a broad variety of tasks as well as helping to grow and the develop the practice. You will be responsible for;

Preparing statutory and management accounts for clients

Assisting with business development activities to attract new clients

Liaising with other colleagues to ensure all client work is completed accurately, within budget and on time

Work closely with clients to continuously develop their internal systems

Training clients in use of their accounting systems whilst implementing best practice bookkeeping systems

Carry out bespoke system projects agreed with the client

Preparation of VAT returns

A very strong emphasis is put on the advisory side of accountancy and you will be expected to provide value added advice to your clients on a regular basis
Strong statutory accounts experience and sound accounting, corporate and personal tax and VAT technical knowledge

Must have good time management, organisational skills, interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients therefore needing a client focused attitude

Ability to work to tight deadlines and flexible in approach Experience in a range of software packages, in particular cloud accounting packages such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage 50 Maintain high professional standards of conduct and practice
