ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER An Electrical Engineer responsible for Electrical Design, reporting up workloads and priorities, internal project coordination, administration and some client liaison. assisting the project lead in advising on the resourcing and workload within the project Mechanical team, setting/managing design goals with project senior, attending weekly team meetings and assisting in seeking ways of improving the efficiency and productivity of the team. Promote the business ‘can-do’ attitude ensuring this is instilled in every project and imparted by all within the MEP design team. . Duties The Engineer proves the ability to operate on multiple projects and organise themselves to meet all assigned deadlines agreed upon with the project lead. The Engineer is responsible for full detailed mechanical design and should expect to complete these exercises on their own with support from the project lead. The Engineer is responsible for calculation works to prove the design for domestic, ventilation, heating and cooling systems. The Engineer is to coordinate design with electrical design members. The Engineer is to feed into design team meetings with some attendance, where required, where applicable alongside the project lead and report back to the wider design team on progress and actions. The Engineer is to manage personnel design workloads providing completed works to the Project lead for QA in a timely manner. Dates should be agreed with the project lead and aligned with client target dates to ensure timely issue of information. The Engineer is to actively participate to the design verification process within the team, including self-checking their own work prior to issuing for QO to the Senior and QA checking Graduate engineers work. Technical Ability The Engineer is to have a working understanding of current building regulations, CIBSE documentation, British standards, BSRIA documentation and all other general design guides associated with the building services industry. The Engineer is to be IT literate, with a working knowledge of office, AutoCAD, RELUX and DiaLUX. The engineer is as a minimum to be working towards Member of CIBSE accreditation. We would expect a minimum 2 years’ experience in the associated specialism to be required for the candidate to be suitable for the role. This would generally ensure sufficient exposure to all technical aspects of the role and understanding of the industry
