Job Description

A prestigious London university is seeking a Careers Placements Officer to support its careers department. This full-time, 4-month fixed-term role (35 hours/week, 9:30am-5:30pm) offers hybrid working with three days onsite in central London, and the remainder remote. This post is looking for a start date of Monday 31st March, until 31st July 2025.

In this post you will collaborate with academic staff to deliver placement modules, working with the Employer Engagement and Placements Managers to convert employer relationships into accredited opportunities. A natural networker, you’ll build strong relationships across universities, businesses, and non-profits, ensuring excellent service and smooth placement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

· Support students and academic staff with placement modules.

· Engage with potential employers to secure new placement opportunities.

· Act as the main contact for staff and employers, handling queries and problem-solving.

· Maintain accurate placement records and produce monitoring reports.

· Develop placement handbooks, agreements, and resources.

· Conduct due diligence on placement providers, ensuring compliance.

· Deliver pre- and post-placement workshops.

Requirements:

· Experience in a similar role with strong project management skills.

· Knowledge of employability, placements, and internships

· Understanding of Higher Education and university careers services.

· Excellent communication, relationship-building, and IT skills (Microsoft Office, Google Suite).

This post is looking to start on Monday 31st March 2025, so will need to be available to meet the timeframes for consideration.
