Change Accountancy and Finance are partnering with an established client within the Financial Services sector, based in Edinburgh, to recruit a Finance Manager. The role will be on an initial fixed term basis for 15 months with scope to become permanent. Having responsibility for the reporting of month end financials and taking a lead in internal reporting of business performance – developing key metrics and building on the established set up that exists. The Finance Manager will be responsible for reviewing month end figures, reconciling these and investigating discrepancies, across a number of business areas, working with the business to own relationships to ensure this process is as smooth as possible, as well as seeking opportunities to enhance this. As the role develops, the holder will get the chance to be involved in a number of projects. Our client is looking for a qualified accountant, either making their first move from public practice and has recently qualified or someone who is ready for their next step having already made the change in sector. Core duties include; Taking a lead in working with the business to prepare and produce month end accounts with commentary and analysis Lead in month end accounts delivery with a focus internal and external reporting Balance sheet review and commentary, picking up with a range of operational stakeholders to understand movements Lead on value add insight and identifying areas of improvement Confident reviewing the work of others and engaging with stakeholders to ensure comprehension and narrative Demonstrate a commercial awareness and acumen from previous roles Excellent communicator at all business levels The role will give the successful applicant a chance to progress their career in a complex organisation with real growth potential and opportunities to develop.
