BAM UK & I are looking for an Environmental Sustainability Coordinator to join our Northern Region.

Your mission

Job Description:

Environmental Sustainability Expertise:

1. Demonstrate evidence of delivering environmental improvements within the sector and associated trades.
2. Possess knowledge of ISO14001 compliance and assurance, along with key environmental aspects.
3. Support project implementation and delivery with associated procedures and plans.

Standards and Reporting:

1. Adhere to industry standards, company procedures, and legal requirements.
2. Communicate risks and opportunities to relevant projects.
3. Understand key performance indicators and how they support improvement.
4. Support the SESM/ESM as required to provide monthly reports and inform continual improvement.

Certification and Assessment:

1. Familiarity with relevant environmental certification/assessment tools (e.g., BREEAM, LEED, WELL, NABERs).

Effective Communication:

1. Promote awareness of BAM’s sustainability strategy and key themes (decarbonisation, circular economy, climate adaptation, and biodiversity).
2. Be willing to support the wider team when delivering training and awareness sessions.

Client Focus:

1. Support winning work and project delivery, and provide tender support with guidance from an ESM or SESM.
2. As required, undertake research into key clients’ environmental sustainability targets.

2. Engage with local level operational leadership as required through matrix management.

1. Collaborate with the ES team as required to define a cohesive way forward as BAM UK&I.
