My client is a leading IT solutions provider with over 30 years of experience delivering innovative technology services to world-renowned, international clients. About the Role We are seeking a Senior Cloud Consultant (Azure). This is a technical role ideal for a senior professional passionate about helping organisations transform and adopt Azure services. You will act as a technical authority, providing consultancy in both presales and project delivery across the full project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Technical Delivery * Act as the technical authority, contributing to the design, development, and delivery of cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions using Azure technologies. * Utilise Azure DevOps tools to automate and optimise CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery of solutions. * Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, from planning and scoping to testing and deployment, ensuring quality and timely delivery. * Collaborate with the wider delivery team and Project Managers to deliver projects. * Contribute to post-project lessons learned meetings and ensure smooth handover to the Services team at project closure. * Provide training, documentation, and assistance to the support team as services transition into operations. Pre-sales * Work closely with customers during presales engagements to understand their business goals, challenges, and requirements. * Provide strategic guidance and best practices on leveraging Azure and Azure DevOps to achieve customer objectives. * Conduct workshops, assessments, and demos to highlight the value and capabilities of Azure and Azure DevOps services. * Perform peer reviews of the team’s pre-sales designs and recommendations. Other * Act as a visible senior technical professional, leading by example and assisting with coaching, onboarding, and training of other engineers. * Ensure timely completion of timesheets for accurate project billing and reporting. * Stay updated on the latest trends, features, and updates in Azure and Azure DevOps, sharing knowledge with the team and broader business. Qualifications, Skills & Experience * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience. * Strong experience and relevant certification in Azure services and Azure DevOps tools. * Solid understanding of adjacent technologies such as networking, security, data, and virtualisation. * Strong knowledge of Azure architecture, administration, security, and governance. * Proficient in PowerShell and other Azure tools and APIs. * Experience delivering infrastructure as code projects using Bicep and/or Terraform, and working in multiple environments. * Familiarity with Azure networking concepts such as private endpoints, Azure Virtual WAN, hub and spoke architectures, and ALZ (Azure Landing Zone Bicep modules). * Proven experience in pre-sales, delivering presentations, and technically managing end-to-end project lifecycles. * Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. * Fluent spoken and good written English. What We Offer * Basic salary of £75,000 – £80,000 plus a 10% performance bonus. * 34 days of annual leave (including 8 UK bank holidays and a day off on your birthday)
