Heat Treatment Shift Leader Are you an experienced supervisor in the metalworking industry? Join our team as a Heat Treatment Shift Leader! This is a fantastic opportunity to lead our heat treatment department and ensure the highest standards of production and quality. Location: North-West of Cambridge (Swavesey) Salary: Β£29,000 β Β£34,000 (dependent on experience) plus overtime and annual bonus This is a temporary position leading to permanent employment after 6 months. Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: Oversee heat treatment production activities, ensuring efficiency and compliance. Perform secondary contract reviews and prepare surfaces for customer work. Manage furnace loads, conduct testing, and review data-log for accuracy. Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures while maintaining a clean work-space. Participate in audits and process improvement initiatives. What We\βre Looking For: Previous supervisory experience in heat treatment or metalworking. Strong knowledge of heat treatment practices and testing principles. Ability to work shifts, including nights, with a full UK driver\βs license. Forklift truck license and IT literacy are preferred. Challenges Understanding heat treatment specifications and requirements due to a planned transition to aerospace heat treatment services, working in hot/cold environment (seasonal, proximity to heat treatment furnaces), handling high value finished components.
