Job Description
We're currently searching for a Director of Operations to join the senior leadership team at a top international school in West Sussex. The Director of Operations will line manage both the Finance Manager and Estates Manager (both of which manage small teams), ensuring the effective management of business aspects of the College and playing a major role in the College’s strategic direction and financial success. The Director of Operations will undertake financial forecasting, budgeting and performance monitoring, working with the Principal to implement the College’s strategic development plan.
Responsibilities:
- The Director of Operations will have whole-College responsibilities for:
- Health and Safety provision and risk assessment
- Safeguarding practice with particular attention to campus safety and security
- Line management of the Estates team and Finance
- Project management: working closely with the architects, surveyors and Health and Safety in planning and managing onsite construction works
- Preparation of the College’s financial reports, in consultation with the Finance team and Principal, to present to leadership team and Governors
- Approval and management of the College’s contracts, leases and renwals
- Data Protection
- Exploration of additional funding and income streams, including the management of holiday lettings
