Job Description

Senior Designer Young Fashion Nightwear Shape and Print Competitive 

Salary, Bonus, Career Progression 

Hybrid 2 days Office (3 days remote) flexible hours

Greater London. South London, Surrey

Exciting opportunity with one of the leading suppliers to the fashion high street. They are actively looking to recruit an experienced Senior Women’s Jersey and Woven’s Nightwear Designer to work with their largest Accounts. You will already cover all aspects of sleep and loungewear a nightwear specialist in your career to date within a supplier, high street retailer or brand.

You will have great taste levels and experience with the UK high street, brands and retailers and supermarkets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • In depth trend research from catwalk to high street competitors.
  • Create commercial designs which focus on the buyer’s needs.
  • Build strong relationships with the buyers through presentation of designs.
  • Constant communication with the overseas office to ensure the handover of designs and samples requests are communicated to the highest level.
  • Create in-depth tech packs and specifications of all design that are to be samples
  • International travel for design inspiration / buyers’ meetings / and factory visits
  • Take full ownership in growing your category ability to work with account managers to drive this already successful area forward.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Supplier or high street fashion retailer or brand experience at Senior Designer level working for mid-market brands retailers and supermarkets.
  • Must have a good creative, yet commercial eye.
  • High level of confidence in verbal presentation that will instigate new sales and install trust with the buyers.
  • Must be innovative and able to problem solve, be adaptable as well as work in a fast paced and pressured environment.
  • Able to work as part of a team as well as showing own initiative.
  • Good understanding of business strategy and its needs.
  • Worked with both China and Bangladesh.
  •  Strong experience with both fabric and trim sourcing.
  • Print experience is desirable but not essential.
  • High level of Adobe CAD skills
