ALN Teaching Assistant

We are looking to take on an experienced ALN Teaching Assistant. The successful ALN Teaching Assistant will have the opportunity to work in an inclusive Further Education setting in Merthyr Tydfil, with staff who are committed to ensuring the progression and success of their students, in a learning environment that promotes high-quality learning, honesty, and mutual respect.

As an ALN Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the Teacher to ensure high standards of teaching, supporting students 1-2-1 with general school tasks, and helping the students develop and improve the skills and talents they need to achieve their absolute best.

Our successful ALN Teaching Assistant will:

• Have Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and/or at least 6 months experience in Education
• Have ALN experience and/or 1-2-1 experience with students with Autism, ADHD, and other additional needs
• Have good behavioural management skills/experience with challenging behaviours
• Have experience in assisting with and promoting Independent Living Skills
