Job Description:

Our client, a well-established logistics company, is currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Import Coordinator to join their team. As an Import Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing the import process, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining clear communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders, including UK Government authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and submit customs entries, ensuring compliance with UK regulations.

* Obtain and communicate all necessary information internally and externally to ensure customer requirements are met and procedures are followed.

* Liaise with UK Government authorities to ensure accurate and timely submissions.

* Track shipments and provide customers with regular updates on progress.

* Submit certificates to relevant governing bodies and ensure timely retrieval for audits.

* Daily submission of time-sensitive information to HMRC for arrivals.

* Act as the main point of contact for customer queries and status updates.

* Maintain and update trackers to ensure smooth operations and compliance.

Required Skills & Experience:

* At least 1 year of experience in a customs or import coordination role is preferred.

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers and UK authorities.

* Detail-oriented and proactive in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

* Familiarity with customs procedures and HMRC regulations is advantageous but not essential (training can be provided).

Working Hours:

* Saturday/Sunday: 08:00 – 17:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch)

* Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday: 10:00 – 19:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch)

Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 per annum
