Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Northampton
Hours: 40 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday
Salary: GBP14/h
Shift: 10pm till 7am
About the Role
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing daily operations, maintaining high standards, and ensuring timely dispatch of consignments. You will lead by example, fostering a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the warehouse team to achieve performance targets and maintain a positive work environment.
- Ensure all deliveries are accurately checked, scanned, and prepared for dispatch to meet customer expectations.
- Support the Warehouse Shift Manager in implementing new processes and technologies to improve efficiency.
- Maintain strong communication with supervisors across shifts to ensure smooth handovers.
- Inspect products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct staff training, performance evaluations, and one-to-one coaching sessions.
- Identify and address any training gaps within the team.
- Oversee disciplinary procedures, investigate accidents, and resolve escalated complaints.
- Foster strong relationships across departments, including Transport, Customer Service, and Administration.
What We\’re Looking For
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Proven experience in managing a team.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Forklift licences (desirable but not essential).
