STUDENT SUPPORT ROOM COORDINATOR Required ASAP South Lincolnshire Academies Trust is seeking to appoint a Student Support Room Coordinator at Bourne Academy. You will play a pivotal role supporting students in Key Stage 3 & 4 liaising with curriculum staff to ensure work is set and completed by the students. You will also work with the pastoral team to support new admission students’ joining our school and familiarising themselves with our processes and procedures. The successful candidate will: * Have a recognised competence in Literacy and Numeracy; * Be well organised, energetic and self-motivated; * Communicate confidently and effectively with students and other members of staff, including the Admissions Manager and Head of School; * Have high expectations of behaviour, following established frameworks for discipline which include a range of strategies, using praise, sanctions and rewards consistently and fairly; * Maintain good relationships with students, exercise appropriate authority and act decisively when necessary; * Manage the environment effectively, providing a calm and productive workspace, using approaches appropriate to students’ needs in order to involve and motivate them; * Experience in a similar environment would be an advantage as would a good understanding of SEN and the EBSA pathway.
