Role: Senior Cost Manager

Our client, a privately owned, leading global construction and consultancy firm are interested in meeting experienced Cost Managers who are passionate about cost and commercial management. We are looking to recruit a Cost Consultant and Senior Cost Consultant that specialises property and infrastructure.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting feasibility studies and advising on procurement strategies and contract selection
Writing and undertaking procurement reports
Applying value management techniques at the outset of a project
Managing, estimating, and planning costs, including taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan
Negotiating and agreeing on final accounts
Representing the firm to clients, stakeholders, and other consultants at all project stages
Handling contractual frameworks and standard forms of contract
Identifying and acting upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates, and products to enhance the services provided to clients
About you:
Previous experience in a consultancy environment
You will ideally be MRICS or working towards chartership.
Essential experience with JCT and NEC forms of contract
Expertise in cost planning, budgeting, and estimating
Strong knowledge of contract law and contractual frameworks in construction
Proven ability to undertake and advise on Contract Administration
Understanding of value engineering and life cycle costing
Familiarity with industry best practices
Awareness of hot topic issues such as Sustainability, Social Value, and Carbon Reduction impacting the Public Sector
Capability to analyse and provide advice on Capex versus Opex costs
