VTA Recruitment is recruiting a Transport Administrator/Planner on behalf of our client based in Southport. They provide reliable and responsible waste management solutions for materials including liquids, solids, fuels and chemicals, as well as delivering a range of supporting services. They are fully accredited, offer nationwide coverage, and provide solutions across the following four key areas: Automotive, Marine, Chemical, Industrial & Manufacturing. We are for looking for an experienced administrator, ideally you will have experience within transport/logistics as our client’s office is a busy environment with high volumes of work. The successful applicant will be required to provide full admin support to the Transport Department. Benefits: * Company pension * On-site parking * Monday to Friday * Full time – permanent Role and responsibilities: * Processing all transport appointments for current client sites on computer-based systems * Answering calls, managing bookings and efficiently communicating with customers * Respond to general queries * Be the first point of contact * Daily reporting and upkeeping spreadsheets * Accurate data inputting * Schedule and coordinate transportation activities * Assist in route planning and optimization * Monitor transportation performance and resolve issues * Able to understand route building and recognise issues and optimise solutions * Proven knowledge of transport regulations * Able to change and accommodate the daily dynamics of fleet management * Skilled in accurate daily reporting * Experience in route planning Requirements: * Transport Industry Experience. * Excellent customer service and communication skills * A high level of attention to detail * Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Outlook * Methodical approach to problem solving and excellent attention to detail Job Details: * Monday – Friday * Southport (PR9) * Day Shift
