High Voltage (HV) Engineer Based: On site Rolls-Royce in Bristol. The role JLL are recruiting a senior High Voltage (HV) Engineer to work at their Bristol Rolls-Royce site to carry out routine and reactive maintenance on the electrical systems across the site. You will be responsible for the practical implementation and application of SSOW / Safety Rules on all sites, system and installations. As the Electrical Authorising Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be a subject matter expert for high voltage, low voltage, electrical systems and equipment across the site. Key Skills * Be responsible for the operation, isolation, discharging, proving dead of systems and equipment within the limits specified on the Senior Authorised Persons Certificate of Appointment. * Based upon the activities defined in the Method Statement and the inspection of the place of work, identify on the appropriate safety documentation the known safety hazards, and specify the control measures to be implemented to minimise potential risks. * Monitor/manage the routine and reactive maintenance for the HV (high voltage) and Low Voltage (LV) infrastructure. Ensure that all the subsequent remedials tasks are completed in a timely manner. * Support the implementation of Electrical Safety, Systems and Engineering Policy, Process and Guidance for the UK * Audit Engineers on the work that has been carried out. * Audit compliance of contracts in line with statutory regulations, legislation, and best practice in the field of expertise * To provide advice to procurement on the standards of contractors for electrical engineering * Great communication with Clients and Colleagues * Carry out an assessment of all Integral directly employed Authorised Persons and Competent/Skilled Persons, to ensure detailed knowledge of electrical systems, technical competence, and understanding of the requirements for practical implementation of these Safety Rules. * Ensure that all systems and installations are operated and maintained in a safe condition at all times, reporting any potentially dangerous situations or occurrences to the site manager. * Maintain all records, registers, schedules and schematic drawings relating to systems within his area of responsibility. * Activity monitoring the electrical risks for the site and developing business cases to mitigate the risks. * Provide advice to contracts on maintenance Standards for Electrical Systems. * Communicate updates to statutory regulations, legislation, and best practice with stakeholders and site engineers/technicians. * Take on the role of company principal duty holder for the NIC EIC Qualification and Experience – * A valid High voltage (HV) AP Certification via an approved training provider * NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical engineering * Experience of working within a critical infrastructure 5 + years plus experience in technical delivery and management of electrical systems * HNC or equivalent qualification in engineering/management discipline. * Experience in leading a technical team directly in relation to Safe Systems of Works and Authorized activities such as HV. * Highly organized. * Ability to work independently and manage own time effectively as well as working within a team * Full Clean Driving License * A strong background in health and safety with IOSH managing safety certification. * Excellent IT Skills – Particularly in Excel and presentation of technical data * Meticulous attention to detail. * BS7671 – IET Wiring Regulation (18th Edition) * Electrical Test and Inspection 2391-52
