The Role
Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced utility surveyor and the role would involve carrying out surveys at sites throughout the UK and beyond.
- Conducting utility surveys using modern survey methods and devices
- Resolving any unexpected site issues and seeking help from the team and management when required
- Accurately recording surveying information on-site to the agreed specification and scope
- Building and maintaining client relationships and ensuring that we deliver to our client's expectations
- Assisting with detailed field and office surveying assignments
- Checking the quality of information collected on site and ensuring a successful transition to deliverables
- Mentoring and training junior surveying staff as required
- Delivering to company policies, procedures, standards, and best practices
- Carrying out any other duties as required by the business
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in the utility surveying industry with a strong understanding of PAS 126 standards
- Strong understanding of using total stations, GNSS receivers, and utility markers
- Proficient in the creation of written survey reports, permits to dig, manhole, and inspection chamber record cards in accordance with PAS128
- Excellent communication skills and experience dealing with clients
- Flexibility to work away from home for periods and accommodate various shift patterns when required (such as night shift etc)
- A full UK driving license
- The right to work in the UK
