Welder Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator / Metal worker to join one of our clients based in South Birmingham.

The ideal candidates will have experience in metal fabrication, welding, and machining, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work from technical drawings. This role requires a proactive approach, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards. You will be working on bespoke, luxury, high-end and historic projects in lighting manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform metal fabrication tasks, including cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components.
• Operate general machining tools with precision.
• Carry out TIG welding, MIG welding, brazing, and silver soldering as required.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints for accurate fabrication.
• Work independently and take initiative to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Assemble components with precision and attention to detail.
• Maintain a high level of craftsmanship and quality control.
• General understanding of wiring.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a General Machinist / Fabricator.
• Strong TIG & MIG welding, brazing, and silver soldering skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and follow specifications accurately.
• Experience with metalworking tools and equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative.

Working hours : 40 hours week, Monday to Friday , Morning shift, flexible hours with an early finish on Friday.
