Hotel Night Shift Receptionist Gateshead (Part Time 22.5 hours per week) Looking to recruit an experienced Hotel Night Receptionist/Duty Manager for three shifts a week (22.5 hours) role includes reception (check in and check out) security, limited food & beverage & general cleaning responsibilities. Main Responsibilities:- Overseeing all departmental service standards are maintained at all times. To assume the role of any front office/night team member should business levels demand. Maintain the company credit control policy is adhered to. To monitor use of daily Accounts/Night handover book and check corrective action is carried out where necessary. Handle complaints or enquirer with immediate action; speak to the departments concerned with a through follow up to the guest making sure all points are logged in the Duty Managers handover diary. To ensure senior management and customer service department are kept fully informed of all developments and guest feedback Efficient handover is given to the Guest Service Team. To be able to deal with any reasonable requests from guests in a professional manner. To strive and anticipate customer needs whenever possible and react to these to enhance customer satisfaction. Responsible for all public areas making sure they are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion To ensure that all meeting rooms are prepared in accordance with the M&E operations sheets. Ensure all corridors are clear; fire extinguishers and fire doors are secured. To ensure safety floor checks are carried out during the night, according to Company standards To be responsible for the reporting of all maintenance work required within the department. To ensure that senior management are kept informed of all developments and guest feedback. To oversee that communication is made with housekeeping to arrange room moves, VIPs and special requirements as and when required as Duty Manager. To be conversant with hotel selling strategy. To be punctual, polite, courteous and helpful to guests and colleagues at all times. Make sure correct operation of all night systems. To ensure that the Night Audit, file maintenance and daily back up are carried out properly. To be responsible for the upkeep of all front office equipment and to arrange servicing.   Night mini bar is checked daily and that procedure is kept up to standard
