REMOTE UK Mandarin E-commerce DIRECTOR

This is an outstanding opportunity for a very senior MANDARIN CHINESE speaking E-commerce Director with a background gained in organisations such as TikTok Shop, eBay, Amazon or others. You will bring to this role your team management and Board experience as well as in-depth expertise within this fast growing e-commerce sector as the company looks to establish a network of local sellers and vendors in the UK and Europe and a UK team to look after them. TITLE: REMOTE MANDARIN CHINESE speaking E-commerce Vendor Director

Salary : £180,000-£250,000 + Performance bonus ( generous)

DUTIES

Reportinf directly to the Board and looking after the UK market you will

• Oversee the Operations Team based in China,
• Recruit and onboard a team of 10 or more people within Business Development who will look after and develop relationships with merchandise partners, manufacturers, and brands with a view to them putting their goods on the e-commerce platform
• Mentor , measure, and lead the team so that a best -in-class service is provided to vendors
• Understand P+L and data analytics
• Report back to the Board on progress
• Be aware of consumer trends in the e-commerce landscape
• Visit new merchants where required
• Support merchandise partners and help vendors develop a business plans (eg market positioning, product planning, brand marketing, and logistics)

Requirements

• Fluent Mandarin (essential)
• Fluent English (essential)
• At least 8 years of people management experience at Director level
• Happy to work fully remotely
• Solid e-commerce background is essential
