Financial Controller

A successful and growing SME business with a turnover in excess of £25m based in the Portsmouth area is looking to hire an ACA/ACCA/CIMA QualifiedFinancial Controller to join them on a permanent basis. This role is based 4 days per week in the office and offers a clear progression path to become Finance Director for the right candidate. Reporting to the Finance Director and with clear visibility to the Senior Leadership Team, the Financial Controller will: Duties of the Financial Controller Role: Oversee/design and implementFinancial Controlsto ensurethatthe organisation is best placed to minimalise any unnecessary losses Mentor and develop a small finance team Oversee the production of the monthly/quarterly management accounts to be reviewed by the Finance Director Engage with the stakeholders across Work alongside the Finance Director and Senior Leadership Team in providing commercial and strategic acumento drive the business forward Requirements of the Financial Controller Role: ACA/CIMA/ACCA Qualified Accountant Ambition to become a Finance Director 5-10 years PQE Strong Excel skills Ability to mentor staff Proven commercialacumen within medium-sized companies.
