Chef Walton- On-Thames, Surrey Up to £17 per hour I am looking for an experienced Chef to work in a boutique luxury residential home that offers nursing and residential care. The service has 30 large bedroom suites and features comprehensive facilities For this Chef post you will: * Be responsible for the planning and provision of daily nutritious meals for residents * Ensure the food your purchase is fresh and within budget * Ensure all health and safety and environmental standards are achieved and maintained * Be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team The successful Chef needs to have: * NVQ Level 2/3 in Food Preparation/Catering (or equivalent) * Level 2 Food Hygiene, be willing to work towards Intermediate Food Hygiene qualifications * Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting * Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques * A knowledge of nutrition and the ability to develop menus that meet dietary requirements * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * The ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently under pressure * Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures * The ability to train and supervise kitchen staff * A willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Benefits for this role include: * A comprehensive induction programme * Further training and career progression * A 24 hour Employee Assistance Programme * Cost of DBS covered * *Terms and condition apply For more information on this fabulous job, please call Elite Care on (phone number removed)
